Mr Charles Hynes (District Attorney – Kings County) welcomed Tariq Jung
to his office. Mr Jung delivered a message of thanks to My Hynes from our Mayor
(Councillor David Smith) for the help and cooperation shown by him and his impressive team
to the people of Brighton and Hove.
On this visit the team of Mr Hynes had appointed Mr Gene Johnson, a specialist on "Restorative Justice"
to comprehensively brief the BHMF on this particular subject. On returning back to Brighton and Hove
the BHMF hope to continue their ongoing work with the Crown prosecution Service.

As part of the Interfaith work, the BHMF was welcomed as special guests by Dr Lucinda Mosher
(a Christian ethicist, who focuses on inter-religious concerns—particularly
Christian-Muslim and Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations) at an interfaith meeting.
This was held at the renowned Interchurch Center on Claremont Avenue, New York.
Tariq Jung said, "It was a wonderful honour for the BHMF to represent the
Brighton and Hove Inter-Faith Contact Group". The BHMF has promised to help Dr Mosher with
a peace making process her group is involved with. The Brighton and Hove Inter-Faith Contact Group
(IFCG) will be involved with this very important project.
BHMF meet Muslim Police from New York
The BHMF was also welcomed by the NYPD (New York Police Department) at 1 Police Plaza, New York .
Here open and frank discussions were held on community policing and cohesion to ascertain what we
may learn from the police in the USA. The intention is to bring this information back to Brighton and Hove
and use it to continue the BHMF's vital work with our local police.
BHMF at Ground Zero
The BHMF were also invited into the 911 (ground Zero) area. Here at first hand the BHMF saw the
very difficult and sensitive work being carried out by the NYPD and other associated parties.
BHMF prepare Blue-print for UN
The BHMF have also finalised a Blue-print for the UN, known as "The Ex-patriots rebuild".
This is a unique project that will offer if administered a wonderful opportunity for the Ex-patriots
to rebuild their own country of origin without fear of corruption or misuse of the funds raised by them.
The is being sent to Secretary General of the UN and also to General Nadeem of Pakistan, who heads
the earthquake relief project on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. General Nadeem recognised
the independent work carried out by the BHMF to raise the profile of the Pakistan Earthquake and
looks forward to welcoming forum members back to Pakistan to record how the relief work is
being carried out.
