Brighton & Hove's first Muslim school opens it's doors

Brighton & Hove's long awaited first Muslim school opened it's doors at BHASVIC in Dyke Road on Saturday 15th January 2005.

Based on the interest shown at the public meeting held on the 20th December, BHMF had provisioned for three classrooms. The actual attendance was so high that we have immediately had to move to four classrooms!

The attendance for the first day was 87 children from all over Brighton & Hove, and also from Worthing and Littlehampton. There are even more parents that have expressed an interest in sending their children to the school.

The school will be closed next Saturday due to Eid al Adha, and will be open again the Saturday after.

May we wish a Happy Eid to all our readers and to all the Ummah.
