New Spanish website gives full details of Omar's story

The Spanish language human rights website Equipo Nizkor has devoted several pages to Omar's plight, including one detailing Omar's story and another containing the Brighton Council Resolution in Omar's favour.

The pages should also soon be available in Spanish.

Interfaith art project in local paper

The interfaith art project which BHMF was involved in has been covered in the local newspaper 'Brighton and Hove Leader', read the article

The finished mosaic will be on display on Wednesday afternoon at a local school, parents and participants are invited to attend! Contact BHMF for more details.

Send a gift to Omar

A letter has been received from Omar Deghayes, the Brighton resident currently incarcerated in Guantanamo Bay, thanking everyone for the work that is being done for him here, he is extremely grateful for every effort we make.

Omar's Lawyer, Clive Stafford-Smith, has called for gifts to be sent to Omar. He stressed the gifts must be innocuous, for example copies of the National Geographic Magazine.
