The Senior Executive Team of the Brighton and Hove Muslim Forum
recently held a meeting with members of the diverse Muslim community
in Brighton & Hove to look at ways on how the community can work
together on key issues of concern. In a meeting of members from the
Pakistani, Indian, Turkish, Bangladesh, Arab, Sudanese, African
communities and represnetatives from the Muslim Women's Group, the
Chairman, Tariq Jung wanted to lead this forum into the challenging
future for this community.

The Policy Adviser Kadeer Arif and the previous chairman Sabri Ben
Ameur presented to the forum a new vision on how the forum should
embrace a more diverse approach in the way it operates. Since the rise
of hate crime and Islamphobia, Muslim communities need to continue
their hard work together with other communities whilst also working
towards tackling some of the problems our communities face daily.

BHMF Members Meet on Hajj

The Brighton & Hove Muslim Forum (BHMF) organised a special meeting
which took place in Saudi Arabia, Honorary Executive Member Asmat Roe,
Kadeer Arif (Policy Adviser), Daoud Clarke (BHMF Secretary) and Sabri
Ben Ameur (previous BHMF chairman) all attended.

During the visit Sabri Ben Ameur and Kadeer Arif were invited to
attend the World Muslim League Conference in Mecca.
