Dear all,
PPMA (Public Sector People Management Association), formerly known as SOCPO
(Society of Chief Personnel Officers), held their annual conference at the
Metropole Hotel this week finishing with the Recruitment Awards 2007
evening last night. I'm pleased to say that we won the award in the
category for 'Best Work to Improve Diversity in the Workplace' and unlike
many of the other awards which are judged purely on the advertisement, the
submission for this category requires far more detail around strategy and
outcomes. I've been told it's the most coveted award.
Thank you for your contribution to this campaign via your participation and
involvement in the programme of BME community visits last summer and the
lunch in January.
Regards
Katie Ogden

Hi Tariq
I agree that it is because of the hard work and persistence of the BME
community in Brighton & Hove, including many members of the BHMF, that this
award has been won.
Best wishes,
